EXPERIENCE
With more than a decade of expertise in InfoSec, Rob Simon specializes in web, mobile, and hardware testing. He spent over 3 years specifically developing security solutions for ATMs, which has provided him with a nuanced perspective on the unique challenges involved in securing systems. Collaboratively, Rob has engaged with Carnegie Mellon University's Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) and the United States Secret Service, spearheading a team that focused on the investigation and reverse engineering of malware targeted at banking systems.
While at TrustedSec, Rob was instrumental in establishing the mobile and hardware practice and service lines. He led the formation of a specialized team, enabling the company to address a broader range of security issues. Among his contributions is iHide, a mobile tool used to bypass jailbreak detection.

PASSION FOR SECURITY
Rob developed a passion for security through his interest in video game hacking when he was in high school. He has always had an interest in figuring out how things work, bypassing controls, and abusing systems to do unexpected things.
