EXPERIENCE
Danny has over a decade of IT and cybersecurity experience working in the Generational Utility industry and MDR. He started his career in helpdesk and progressed through cloud teams before transitioning into cybersecurity. He helped build a SOC that served electric cooperatives in the Midwest and gained hands-on experience in NERC CIP environments and the unique challenges facing the energy industry. His current passion is in Windows forensics, Incident Response Provided security hardening recommendations, and Incident Response to SOC customers. He also spent three years teaching Cybersecurity at local college.

PASSION FOR SECURITY
Danny has been in front of a computer for nearly his entire life, but his interest in technology really hit when he built his own PC in high school. From there, he developed a fascination with how operating systems work under the hood and found himself naturally gravitating toward digging through logs to troubleshoot and understand what was happening on a system. That evolved into a love for investigating intrusions and helping unravel complex IT events. A love of learning is at the core of everything he does. Whether it’s attending classes, training to learn new tools, teaching others through local classes, or participating in local CTF groups, he wants to make sure everyone has access to opportunities to grow in this field.
